MTL Makers began with a simple idea: life feels better when we create.
For as long as I can remember, I've been making things with my hands. Crafting has always been more than a hobby for me. It's how I relax, express myself, learn something new, and connect with others. Some of my favorite memories involve gathering around a table with friends, sharing ideas, laughing over mistakes, and leaving with something handmade and meaningful.
Over the years, life became busier. Between work, responsibilities, and endless time spent in front of screens, I realized how rare it had become to slow down and simply create. I started dreaming about a space where people could step away from the noise, try something new, and reconnect with their creativity, even if they didn't consider themselves "creative."
As a former teacher and now a naturopath, I've always been passionate about helping people learn, grow, and find balance. I've seen firsthand how powerful it can be to make time for activities that nourish the mind, body, and spirit. Whether it's crafting, spending time in nature, meditating, reading a great book, or connecting with a community, these small moments can have a big impact on our well-being.
That's why I created MTL Makers.
MTL Makers is a community built around creativity, connection, and curiosity. It's a place where people can come together to learn from one another, share skills, try new crafts, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something with their own hands.
